Aphasia is a disorder in language function that arises from brain injury. Speech therapy is a rehabilitation process for people with communication disorders, so that they can interact more effectively. The use of the AIUEO method in therapy can help improve pronunciation, so that it is more easily understood by others by moving the tongue, lips, and facial muscles.

Objective: This study aims to determine the effect of speech therapy on the level of aphasia in patients who have non-hemorrhagic stroke in the Seruni Room of RSUD Hajjah Andi Depu.

Method: This research design is quantitative with a pre-experimental approach. The method used is one group pretest-posttest design.

Results: The results of statistical analysis using the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test with the help of SPSS showed a significant value (2-tailed) of 0.004. This means (p<0.05), so that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) is accepted and the null hypothesis (H0) is rejected. Thus, there is a positive effect of speech therapy on the level of aphasia in non-hemorrhagic stroke patients in the Seruni Room of RSUD Hajjah Andi Depu.

Conclusion: A 2024 study at Hajjah Andi Depu Hospital found that speech therapy significantly improved aphasia in non-hemorrhagic stroke patients. Patients' aphasia scores significantly improved after speech therapy (p < 0.05).
2024-03-24T00:00:00+08:00Copyright (c) 2025 M Syikir, Irna Megawaty, Yetry, Triwulansari Dewihttps://journal.inspira.or.id/index.php/kian/article/view/613Implementation of Kegel Exercises for Pregnant Women with Urinary Incontinence in the Third Trimester at Kahuripan Public Health Center, Tasikmalaya2025-07-31T12:44:49+08:00Etty Komariah Sambasettykomariah@universitas-bth.ac.idEnok Nurliawatienok@bth.ac.idTalitha Agripina Salsabillaettykomariah@universitas-bth.ac.idAneng Yuningsihanengyuningsih290485@gmail.com
Introduction: Third trimester pregnancy is often accompanied by physical discomfort such as urinary incontinence, which affects the quality of life of pregnant women. Kegel exercises are one of the exercises that can help overcome this problem by strengthening the pelvic floor muscles and bladder sphincter. This study aims to determine the effect of Kegel exercises on urinary incontinence in third trimester pregnant women in the working area of Kahuripan Community Health Center, Tasikmalaya City.

Objective: This study aimed to determine the response of changes in third trimester pregnant women who experience urinary incontinence after implementing Kegel exercises for three consecutive days.

Methods: This study used a case study design with two pregnant women in their third trimester experiencing urinary incontinence. Data were collected through interviews, physical examinations, and observations before and after the Kegel exercise intervention. Kegel exercises were performed three times a day for three consecutive days. Data were analyzed descriptively by measuring changes in urinary frequency, nocturia, enuresis, and bladder distension.

Results: Before the intervention, both subjects experienced an increase in urinary frequency, nocturia, enuresis, and bladder distension. After three days of Kegel exercises, there was a significant decrease in all these parameters, with increased control of the pelvic floor muscles and bladder sphincter.

Conclusion: Regular Kegel exercises can effectively reduce urinary incontinence in pregnant women in the third trimester. This intervention can improve the quality of life of pregnant women by improving urinary frequency, nocturia, enuresis, and bladder distension. It is recommended that pregnant women independently perform Kegel exercises as a preventative and treatment measure for urinary incontinence during pregnancy.
2025-03-25T00:00:00+08:00Copyright (c) 2025 Etty Komariah Sambas, Enok Nurliawati, Talitha Agripina Salsabilla, Aneng Yuningsihhttps://journal.inspira.or.id/index.php/kian/article/view/553Implementation Of Wound Care Education In A Diabetic Ulcer Patient With Knowledge Deficits2025-07-21T15:16:38+08:00Riska Fitri Oktaviantiriskafitri2910@gmail.comAde Fitrianiadefitriani879@gmail.comLilis Lismayantililislismayanti2@gmail.com
Background: Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic disease that can cause various complications, one of which is diabetic ulcers. These ulcers occur due to impaired circulation and peripheral neuropathy which causes wounds to heal. In an effort to manage diabetic ulcers, an educational approach is needed to increase patient awareness of the importance of proper wound care and infection prevention efforts. Nursing education plays an important role in helping patients understand the relationship between uncontrolled blood glucose levels and the impaired wound healing process. The prevalence of DM continues to increase globally, nationally, and locally, including in the working area of the Cigembor Community Health Center, Ciamis Regency. The primary issue identified is non-compliance with dietary recommendations due to low nutritional literacy and the absence of effective and sustained education. The intervention implemented is structured nutritional education aimed at fostering healthy eating behaviors to control blood glucose levels and prevent complications.

Objective: This study aims to implement the nursing process with a focus on the structured, continuous, and patient-centered implementation of nutrition education in controlling blood glucose levels in DM patients.

Method: This study used a descriptive method with a case study design through a nursing care approach, starting from assessment, formulating diagnoses, planning, implementing nutrition education to control blood glucose levels in patients with diabetes mellitus, and evaluation.

Results: After three days of education, it was found that patients with diabetes mellitus who complained of dizziness, fatigue, decreased appetite, and high blood glucose levels were diagnosed with unstable blood glucose levels, with a focus on the implementation of nutrition education.
