For children with special needs, the development of life skills is crucial. This community service program was conducted at Aceh Flexi School, an educational institution for children with special needs, to provide life skills training based on an inclusive approach.</p> <p><strong> </strong></p> <p><strong>Objective</strong>: The purpose of this service was to enhance the life skills of children with special needs through an inclusive and participatory learning approach. The service aimed to improve basic skills such as self-care, communication, and social interaction, while providing hands-on practice using media such as animated videos, origami, and concrete objects.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Method</strong>: This public service was conducted by the community service team from the Government Science Program, Syiah Kuala University, on December 5, 2024, involving 20 children aged 6–12 years old. The service utilized multimedia tools such as animated videos, origami, and concrete objects to engage children in interactive learning. The activities were designed to be participatory, with direct involvement from teachers and parents.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Result</strong>: The results showed significant improvement in the children's ability to perform basic life skills such as self-care, communication, and motor coordination. Most children were actively engaged in the learning process, demonstrating increased independence and social interaction during the activities. Positive feedback from teachers and parents indicated that the approach was highly effective in supporting the children's development.</p> <p> </p> <p><strong>Conclusion</strong>: The community service successfully contributed to enhancing the life skills of children with special needs at Aceh Flexi School. The use of inclusive and multisensory learning methods proved to be an effective strategy. Balanced nutritious food is a key factor in supporting the physical and cognitive development of students at SDN 69 Kota Banda Aceh. <strong>Objective</strong>: increase insight and increase awareness of students and parents about the concept of "Fill My Plate" and the importance of consuming nutritious food as an effort to prevent stunting <strong>Method</strong>: This program was attended by 83 students from grades 4 to 6 along with their parents. The series of activities included a preliminary survey, nutritional status assessment, and interactive educational sessions designed using lectures, video presentations, educational games, and a live demonstration of the "Isi Piringku" meal concept. <strong>Result</strong>: The conducted outreach program positively contributed to enhancing the knowledge of students and parents regarding stunting prevention efforts. The "Isi Piringku" food presentation demonstration actively engaged participants and provided practical understanding of the concept of balanced nutrition. However, the implementation of this activity also faced challenges, particularly due to varying levels of comprehension caused by age differences, which affected the younger participants' ability to absorb information. <strong>Conclusion</strong>: structured and comprehensive nutrition education significantly improved the knowledge of students, parents, and school staff regarding the importance of healthy eating habits to prevent stunting. Furthermore, the involvement of external parties such as UNICEF strengthened the sustainability and validity of the activity. Traditional methods like Family Medicinal Plants (TOGA) and acupressure offer effective, low-cost solutions. <strong>Objective</strong>: This community service program aimed to educate and train mothers in the Majelis Taklim on self-care management using TOGA and acupressure techniques to address minor health complaints. <strong>Method</strong>: The program employed a participatory approach, conducted in three stages: preparation (March–May 2024), implementation (June–October 2024), and evaluation (November 2024). Activities included TOGA education, acupressure training, safety discussions, holistic lifestyle counseling, and community forums. Quantitative (pre-test/post-test) and qualitative (observation, satisfaction surveys) evaluations were used to measure outcomes. <strong>Result</strong>: The program significantly improved participants' knowledge and skills, with 70% reporting high effectiveness of TOGA for minor ailments. Daily TOGA usage increased to 45%, and 65% of participants shifted from chemical drugs to natural remedies. Challenges included material availability (40%) and processing techniques (30%). Participant satisfaction reached 85%, and 60% disseminated knowledge to their communities. <strong>Conclusion</strong>: The program successfully enhanced mothers' capacity in self-health management using TOGA and acupressure. The causes of LBP include incorrect posture, lack of physical activity, and structural abnormalities of the spine. One effective and safe alternative to LBP treatment is non-pharmacological therapy in the form of cold packs, which work to reduce inflammation and draw pain impulses to sensory nerves.</p> <p><strong>Objective</strong>: This activity aims to increase participants' knowledge about cold compress therapy in reducing low back pain.</p> <p><strong>Method</strong>: The method used was direct education to 30 participants at Posyandu RW 5 Ledug, with measurement of knowledge level through pre-test and post-test. Education was delivered using leaflet media and demonstration of proper cold compress techniques.</p> <p><strong>Result</strong>: The results of the activity showed a significant increase in knowledge. Before the education, only 10% of participants had good knowledge, and after the education, it increased to 80%. The majority of the elderly involved were over 60 years old and had a basic education level, but still showed enthusiasm and a good understanding of the material.</p> <p><strong>Conclusion</strong>: The conclusion of this study is that cold compress therapy education is proven effective in increasing participants' knowledge about LBP management. The World Health Organization (WHO) classifies the elderly in several categories: middle age (45-59 years), elderly (60-74 years), elderly (75-90 years), and very old age (90 years). As they age, the elderly are more prone to experiencing anxiety disorders that can impact their quality of life. Objective: The purpose of Butterfly Hug Group Activity Therapy is to reduce anxiety in the elderly. Method: This group activity therapy has 3 stages, namely the orientation stage, the work stage with the administration of butterfly hug therapy, and the termination stage. Result: The population in this activity was the elderly totaling 13 people by distributing the "Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS)" pre-test and post-test anxiety level questionnaires. The results of the pre-test questionnaire before therapy were obtained by 4 elderly people with moderate anxiety, 8 elderly people experienced mild anxiety, and 1 elderly person had no anxiety. Meanwhile, the post-test results after butterfly hug therapy were obtained, 1 elderly person experienced mild anxiety and 12 elderly people had no anxiety. Conclusion: Butterfly Hug therapy can provide positive benefits for the elderly who have been intervened such as, reducing anxiety and anxiety, improving comfort, and improving sleep quality. A total of 20 pregnant women from Joton Village, Jogonalan 2 Klaten Health Center area participated. The activity was carried out from May to September 2024. The implementation of community service activities in the form of providing training to pregnant women, with details of the activities on the first day being training on spiritual needs in pregnant women, in recognizing the spiritual needs of pregnant women (lectures, questions and answers) case studies and demonstrations, the second day was training on the use of instruments, the third day was a simulation and demonstration of identifying the spiritual needs of pregnant women using the Patients Spiritual Needs Assessment Scale, the fourth day was an evaluation of the knowledge of pregnant women in recognizing the spiritual needs of pregnant women by measuring through a posttest via Google form. Pre-test and post-test data were analyzed using a t-test difference test. <strong>Result:</strong> The results of the community service were obtained as many as (90%) pregnant women of healthy reproductive age, mean + SD 29.55 + 4.442, secondary education (80%), multigravida (60%), housewives (85%) and after TM I-III pregnancy. Living in a nursing home without family presence may lead to feelings of loneliness and emotional distress. Non-pharmacological interventions such as group activity therapy are needed to help maintain the mental health of the elderly. One effective method is meronce (bead threading) therapy, which stimulates creativity, encourages social interaction, and helps reduce stress levels. Objective: To determine the effect of group activity therapy using meronce on stress levels in elderly residents at Panti Werdha Kasih Ayah Bunda, Tangerang City. Method: The study involved 14 elderly respondents using the DASS questionnaire to assess stress levels before and after the intervention. A single session of meronce therapy was conducted in group format, followed by a post-test assessment. Result: Before therapy, 6 participants (42.86%) had mild stress and 8 (57.14%) had moderate stress. After therapy, 10 participants (71.43%) had mild stress and only 4 (28.57%) remained with moderate stress. These results indicate a decrease in stress levels following the intervention. Participants included patients with hypertension, their families, health cadres, village midwives, and nursing students. Activities comprised pre-tests, education sessions using visual media, hands-on demonstrations of complementary therapies, and post-intervention evaluations. Follow-up home visits were conducted to assess the implementation of self-care practices. <strong>Result</strong>: The intervention significantly improved participants’ knowledge and skills. The percentage of participants with good knowledge increased from 23.3% to 83.3% after four months. Many participants reported regularly practicing foot massage and foot soaking at home, leading to better sleep and reduced muscle cramps. Sensory stimulation through therapeutic approaches plays a crucial role in maintaining cognitive function and improving quality of life in geriatric care. <strong>Objective:</strong> The purpose of this service was to enhance cognitive function in elderly individuals with dementia through Group Activity Therapy (GAT) using Picture Guessing, aiming to improve memory, concentration, and social interaction. <strong>Method:</strong> This public service was conducted at the UPTD Social Protection Unit of the Banten Province Social Service. Sixteen elderly participants were selected based on cognitive screening using the Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE) and Short Portable Mental Status Questionnaire (SPMSQ). The therapy involved interactive picture-guessing activities to provide sensory stimulation and cognitive training. <strong>Result:</strong> The intervention showed positive outcomes, with participants demonstrating improved memory retention, increased concentration, and higher engagement in social interactions. Therefore, education on the importance of balanced nutrition and iron tablet consumption is carried out through interactive, engaging, and easily understandable animation media.</p> <p><strong>Objective</strong>: This community service activity aims to empower female islamic boarding school students at Nurul Jadid Junior High School, Paiton District, Probolinggo Regency, in preventing anemia through the administration of iron tablets and the application of balanced nutrition.</p> <p><strong>Method</strong>: The activity began with a counseling session about the symptoms of anemia, its impact on the body, and how to prevent it through a healthy diet and the consumption of iron tablets. The counseling was delivered using animation media, followed by a discussion session to deepen participants' understanding and hemoglobin level testing. In addition, the female islamic boarding school students were provided with iron tablets periodically as a direct form of support for preventing anemia.</p> <p><strong>Result</strong>: The results of this activity showed an increase in the female islamic boarding school students understanding of the importance of balanced nutrition and iron tablet consumption. Participants gained a better understanding of how to avoid anemia and how to maintain good health with the right diet. Because most people do not understand stunting correctly, and think that the term stunting or dwarfism commonly used in society is a hereditary factor.</p> <p><strong>Objective</strong>: The purpose of this service was carried out to increase knowledge and participation in stunting prevention in toddlers which is expected to directly motivate the community to participate in paying attention to the growth and development of their children by utilizing catfish ( IKAN LELE ) as a source of high protein to prevent and reduce the incidence of.</p> <p><strong>Method</strong>: This public service was conducted by 3 phases of activity, namely preparation, implementation and evaluation. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), elderly people refer to the population group aged 60 years and over.</p> <p><strong>Objective</strong>: The goal of the guessing object group activity therapy is to improve cognitive abilities. <strong>Method</strong>: The group has 3 stages, namely orientation, work stage and provision of guessing object therapy, where before starting we conduct a pre-test to measure the patient's level of knowledge of guessing object therapy and after finishing guessing objects we conduct a post-test. <strong>Result</strong>: Based on the results of this observation, it was obtained after conducting group activity therapy of guessing objects, the results of the post-test were that participants (80%) had a good level of knowledge, while 2 participants (20%) were still in the category of poor knowledge.</p> <p><strong>Conclusion</strong>: Group activity therapy Guess the Object can improve cognitive abilities, social interaction, self-confidence, and problem-solving skills, as well as provide fun and relaxation for participants. Risk factors such as high blood pressure, obesity, and poor lifestyle habits often emerge during the teenage years and require promotive-preventive strategies within the school environment. <strong>Objective:</strong> The purpose of this service was to increase cardiovascular health awareness and conduct early screening of cardiovascular risk factors among vocational high school students. <strong>Method:</strong> This public service was conducted by lecturers and students of the Nursing and Professional Nurse Program at Universitas Bakti Tunas Husada. The activities included questionnaire screening (Z-CHECK), vital signs measurement (blood pressure, heart rate, BMI), fitness testing using the Modified Step Test, health education, and pre–post knowledge assessment. A total of 66 students from grades X and XI at SMK Suryalaya participated in the program on May 27, 2025. <strong>Result: </strong>The screening showed that 6 students had hypertension, 23 had hypotension, and 9 were obese. One student had irregular pulse, while all others showed normal cardiovascular fitness levels. Knowledge scores improved significantly from a pre-test average of 60 to a post-test average of 82. <strong>Conclusion:</strong> The program effectively identified early cardiovascular risk factors and significantly increased students’ knowledge about heart health. High mortality rates are often due to the lack of skills among bystanders in providing timely assistance.</p> <p><strong>Objective:</strong> This community service aimed to enhance the knowledge and skills of both teachers and students in administering Basic Life Support (BLS) to increase survival chances during emergencies.</p> <p><strong>Method:</strong> The activity was conducted at SMP Inspirasi, involving 7 teachers and 42 students. The methods used included interactive lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on practice. It began with a pre-test questionnaire to assess participants’ baseline knowledge of BLS. This was followed by an educational session using presentation slides and group discussions covering BLS concepts and procedures. Trained nurses performed live demonstrations using mannequins. Participants were then divided into small groups for supervised practice. The activity concluded with a post-test and a skills assessment to evaluate improvements in both knowledge and performance.</p> <p><strong>Result:</strong> Prior to training, only 2 teachers (28.5%) and 3 students (7.1%) had knowledge of BLS, while 5 teachers (71.5%) and 39 students (92.9%) did not.
