Promosi Kesehatan Berbasis Digital: Dampak Pengalaman Traumatik terhadap Kesehatan Jiwa Remaja

Introduction: Adverse childhood experiences, including violence, neglect, and other stressful events during development, are associated with emotional, behavioural, and mental health problems in adolescence. Community education is needed to strengthen understanding of trauma prevention, positive parenting, and supportive environments without making causal claims that are not supported by the activity data.
Objective: This community service activity aimed to strengthen public understanding of the psychological impacts of traumatic experiences on adolescents and the role of families in supporting adolescent mental health.
Method: A digital-based health promotion activity was delivered through a Zoom meeting using lectures and interactive discussion, supported by educational media distributed online. Process evaluation used platform attendance documentation and observation of participant engagement. Final evaluation used verbal feedback. No pre-test and post-test knowledge instrument was administered.
Result: Platform documentation showed 63 connected participants during the material-delivery session and 60 during the discussion session, corresponding to 95.2% retention to the discussion stage. Participants contributed questions and responses about traumatic experiences, adolescent mental health, and family support. Because no pre-test/post-test instrument was used, the activity did not generate quantitative evidence of a change in knowledge and the result is not interpreted as a statistically measured increase in knowledge.
Conclusion: Digital health promotion was feasible for delivering adolescent mental health education and maintaining participant engagement. Future activities should use a validated pre-test/post-test instrument to quantify changes in knowledge or mental health literacy.
